Helps guys!? Jailbreak iPod touch? Thanks in advance!?

Reader Question - Hey guys I just bought an iPod touch 8GB yesterday and its' running os 3.1.3 and I cant jailbreak! I've tried everything! I've done it on my iPhone 3g running 3.1.3 several times no problem!
In Blackra1n it says "done wait for reboot!" and the iPod just sits at a black screen until I soft reset(hold power+home) and nothings changed!
I've also tried pwnage tool and that didnt work either! iTunes just sat at "preparing iPod for restore" for over 45 mins until I gave up and unplugged it!
Any ideas guys!?

From what I read on cydia, there might not be a jailbreak for 3.1.3. I think it's because it's a NEW touch. If you have cydia on your iPhone check it out mabe you can make more sense of it. Hope this helps. Otherwise you may have to wait until 4.0 software (I read) to jailbreak. Side note... Why need a touch when you have an iPhone? Just curious.

just though i would share my info here, because i did this tonight to my sons ipod if you UPGRADED to 3.1.3 on an iPod Touch(iTouch) 1G 2G reg or MC and 3G you are no longer stuck without a jailbreak. Thats right you can jailbreak every iPod Touch 3G or MC Even !!!! You can downgrade back to 3.1.2 and then use blackra1n to jailbreak your device again. Now here is the twist, since 3.1.3 apple has stopped signing its firmware so you can no longer downgrade your device back to previous firmwares. But, now i have a guide posted on how to updated your host file in 2 min which will allow you to downgrade back to 3.1.2 by spoofing iTunes :) Checkout http://www.jailbreakmatrix.com it has the guide on how to downgrade from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 then jailbreak with blackra1n, the whole process takes less then 10 minutes. my 2 cents
