She wrote and self-published the book What If Everything You Thought You Knew about AIDS Was Wrong? Her 3-year old daughter Eliza Jane Scovill died of AIDS-related pneumonia after Maggiore refused to take medication to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV or to have the child tested for HIV. Maggiore died at the age of 52 in Dec 2008 of disease consistent with AIDS.

Strictly speaking, we have never “cured” a viral infection in humans ever. We support the human until their own immune system eliminates or drives the virus into latency.

And you are dead wrong about nobody caring about HIV. HIV is the entire focus. Cure HIV and AIDS ceases to exist.
